Who Pays for Home Care?

Funding for Long-Term Care
There are several ways to finance long-term care services. Many families use a combination of payment sources, including Medicaid (when eligible), Long-Term Care Insurance, Veterans Benefits, and private funds.
At Comfort Well Care, our care coordinators work closely with families to assess care needs and explore available funding options. During the initial consultation, we will help determine the most appropriate care plan and identify potential payment resources.
Medicare
Medicare may cover certain short-term skilled nursing services, home health care, and hospice care when specific eligibility requirements are met.
Please note that Medicare does not typically cover non-medical personal care services provided by Comfort Well Care.
Medicaid
Medicaid is a state-administered, federally funded program that provides healthcare coverage for eligible individuals and families with limited income and resources.
Depending on the state and program eligibility, Medicaid may cover:
-
Nursing home care
-
Home and community-based services
-
Personal care assistance
-
Certain home health services
Comfort Well Care proudly serves Medicaid clients throughout Texas and works with families to determine eligibility and available services.
